WHO ARE WE?
We are a family of collectors based in Sydney Australia. For the last thirty years we have bought and sold guitars, amplifiers and ukuleles from all over the globe through partnerships in both Australia and the USA. What you find on this site are the ones that have remained in our private collection.

Rather than keeping our passion hidden we have decided to share it with the public in this online museum dedicated to showcasing these amazing instruments, plus we'll have a few that are for sale.

THE STORY
A collection starts with just one thing, and then it just sort of happens.
Well, that’s exactly the case with Frets & Strings, it was a Gibson Les Paul that started it all. It was the third guitar purchased BUT the first guitar to be collected. See there was an electric and an acoustic that were used to gig and record with, but the Gibson was the first to join because we liked it yet didn’t necessarily need it. From there it went nuts!
