The Aero Uke was inspired by first person to fly from New York to Paris, he was Charles Lindbergh and did it in his single engine plane, the Spirit of St. Louis in 1927.
As the ukulele craze was hitting its peak at this time, companies looking to capitalise on this feat were quick to act; ukuleles made by Regal were stencilled with an image of the Spirit of St. Louis, Harmony’s Johnny Marvin had an ornate aeroplane bridge, but none were as daring or as novel as this offering from Stromberg-Voisinet.
A beautiful original example previously owned by Seal Beach Music in the USA, it features the desirable gold body decals.
