Sn 007 is an outstanding example of Andy's talents. An Australian cedar body topped in an old growth Victorian blackwood cap with an insanely deep flame, it was love at first sight.

Based on the Gibson Les Paul Junior a guitar we think is one of the best vintage axes on earth, these beautifully crafted tone machines are nothing short of spectacular. They feature Brazilian rosewood fingerboards and a Dimarzio Fantom Dogear P90.

Andy Allen is a master craftsman.

After apprenticing at Maton for most of his adult life he became their foremost builder and was the driving force in the formation of the Maton Custom Shop. Andy has arguably built more guitars in his lifetime than any other Luthier; he’s had a hand in building thousands of production line guitars and personally constructed hundreds of custom made guitars, his hand made ‘mouse’ guitars remain the workhorses of Tommy Emmanuel, a salute to his craft from the greatest guitarist on the planet.

Andy retired from Maton a few years ago and is now building his own acoustic and electric guitars. Built the traditional way, in his own backyard workshop, using handmade jigs, old school tools and a spray booth he personally constructed, the instruments that emerge are magical.

Playing an Andy Allen electric guitar will blow your socks off, playing one of his acoustics will leave you feeling like you just stepped through the pearly gates.
