Charles builds guitars from his workshop in Chipping Norton, he is a one-man operation with a huge waitlist (up to 5 years) all without any advertising, only word of mouth. Most guitarists know of him and love his instruments, those that don't know him instantly fall in love with his guitars once they discover them. Many, like us have multiple Cilia guitars in their stable.
Cilia guitars are unparalleled in quality, feel, playability and looks. They are the best of the best, we will always have a Cilia guitar on order (waiting on four at the moment).
While his guitars are in their own league Charles is down to earth with an infectious love for what he does, he has become a great friend of ours over the years.
He is totally obsessed with what he makes, if they aren’t perfect, he won’t sell them. He toyed with acoustics for 5 years before deciding he was happy with the result to sell one.
Charles will go down in history as a master Luthier.
