An early Gibson custom instrument, the Heritage Series was the first Gibson production guitar to truly start the reissue series that continues to this day. Limited production and a beautiful quilt maple top exclusive to the Elite model. Historically important, these really set the benchmark for where Gibson would take the Les Paul guitar into the 21st century.
 
All original save for a changed bridge pickup, a vintage 59BJ SD hand-wound by Maricela Juarez. Two nods to the ’59 PAF; one 'Shaw PAF' from Gibson's famed Tim Shaw in the neck position (original to the guitar) and one from Seymore Duncan's esteemed pickup maker Maricela Juarez in the bridge.
 
Excellent condition in the original chainsaw case. There are two blemishes on either side of the headstock near the neck joint most likely from a guitar hanger (see pics)
